Problems with Japanese Knotweed

Our expertise in managing this regulated weed means we can help provide a solution.

This harmful weed was originally transported to our shores by a European explorer who collected it from a Japanese volcano and initially took it to Holland!

Japanese Knotweed was soon discovered to be an invasive plant that spreads quickly. It has the potential to extend its roots up to 3m in depth and 7m in all directions. Over time this weed can cause serious problems to construction works and have serious consequences to building foundations and drains.

It also has remarkable growing power and in some cases can grow up to one yard per week.

Our qualified tree surgeons in pesticide management are able to remove Japanese Knotweed and treat the area to reduce the risk of it returning.

We also have the facilities to ensure that once the weed is safely bagged up it can be destroyed.
